Community

communityFor many years Cambridge Surplus has been involved in various community initiatives.

Backpacks for Bookworms

Since (x) we have been involved with the Food Bank and their “Backpacks for Bookworms” program. This is a particularly amazing initiative to participate in because our customers play such a huge role in making all of our donations happen. Customers donate money, supplies and even entirely full backpacks which go directly to children in need throughout Cambridge. For several years Cambridge Surplus staff have also volunteered to help stuff backpacks and see the whole event through!

Christian Light School in Haiti

In 2014 Cambridge Surplus also donated food and school supplies to Christian Light School in Haiti and received this heart warming Thank You from the students.

CO-OP & Life Skills Students

Cambridge Surplus also regularly takes on CO-OP and Life Skills students who want to gain work experience at the store from local High Schools.

Here’s manager Glennis and student Brad at Preston High School just down the road with his CO-OP Fair project.
